OUIJA BOARD:

In the shadows of a dark room, holding their breath and body, few people are standing eagerly awaiting something, someone who would answer their questions with extreme accuracy. Even if they don’t believe their dear ones, they are very much ready to believe the one who is going to answer them now. Because it’s not a living being that is facing their interrogations, but a spirit. Yes! This is the story of OUIJA BOARDS. We, so said developed and educated are going back to old times where people stand a queue in front of temples and charms and magic for even a head ache.
One needs no introduction to OUIJA boards. This is an exciting ritual going on mainly among the so called modern youth. There is a special board in which all the letters from English alphabets are inscribed. All lights from the room or the house itself are switched off and a single candle is lighted to the center of the board. Now, either a tumbler is inverted above the candle or they also use a coin. Constant prayers are done then and finally, the coin or the tumbler starts to move a little while someone holds it tight. Here is the time for asking questions. The one holding hands with the coin thinks a question in a prayerful manner with full devotion. All of a sudden the coin starts moving to the respective answer. The spirit has said the answer finally. People use this to find the result of examinations, winning lotteries and so on. There are also special rituals to send the spirit back. Not doing so will result in the spirit being let free that leads to many disasters. However there are cases where the spirits PREDICTION have become false. Here the one holding the coin is called ‘medium’.
It’s a wonderful mind play that’s going on here. Let’s consider a few situations. When a boy fixes a target whatever it is and works really hard with optimistic thinking, then even a thought of failure suppresses him. Likewise, a pessimistic person will never go for a positive answer whatever the question is. Now if such a person is the medium, then obviously the answer to any question will be ‘NO’. the feeble ‘YES’ scenarios are because he/she is bored of giving negative answers which is again a form of pessimistic thinking.
Apart from this simple explanation, we can also give a psychological analysis on this. As said, ouija board is something which is related to a concept called soul. Actually, soul is a very complicated paranormal experience. In certain cases, there are people who sought help from this board for conversing with their dead parent’s soul. In such scenarios, others may think that the real spirit of the person could be called to the medium’s body and thereby queries could be answered. But let us consider a few postulates of parapsychology here. It says that when a person dies, only his physical body is getting decayed not his mind and memories. They keep revolving around his habitat till all objects of his living period are wiped off from that area. This proves us that one can communicate to the mind and memories of a dead person. The role that a medium plays here is very crucial. He is recreating the dead individual’s mind into or over his own. Thus by this methodology they communicate to the particular dead person’s mind and memories not his soul or spirit. When the strong desire of the medium and that of the dead person’s children who would have a similar mental vibration and equilibrium with their parent are joined together, these forms a strong psychic environment. We call it, a very strong mental field of psychic waves. Along with this when the burning need of some answers adds up, it creates a perfect situation to get access to a dead persons mind.
OUIJA board is a shortcut for many people to reach what we call spirit that gives us whatever answers we seek to. There are various cases where this board has led people to mental instabilities. So it’s better avoiding this. Not all can fix a coin to the board and “call a spirit” or communicate to a mind. Only a person with high mental strength and possessing the capabilities of a medium can do this. It is obvious that each individual has a separate and diverse frequency of mind.
